The ambiance strikes a balance between relaxation and focus, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a solitary moment or engage in thoughtful dialogue with fellow coffee lovers and the passionate owner.

The true standout here is the coffee. Renowned among the local crowd, the pour-over coffee at Coffee Cake Marathon is nothing short of exceptional. As one customer, Jubee Cheng, noted, the café boasts a "pretty good range of pour-over coffee" that showcases artisanal craftsmanship. It’s clear that much thought has gone into sourcing high-quality beans and perfecting brewing techniques. The knowledgeable barista is more than happy to share insights about the various single-origin options available, ensuring every cup is a delightful experience.

While the café has transitioned away from serving cakes and desserts, patrons like Kilo November appreciate the focused offering. The food menu may be limited, but each dish is prepared with care using only the finest ingredients. While some may find it a bit of a trek from the nearest MTR station, the journey is well worth it. As Jimmy Chan mentioned, it’s the best place to unwind after exploring the myriad food choices that Sham Shui Po has to offer. The tranquil environment, complemented by vintage JBL speakers playing soft tunes, creates the perfect backdrop to enjoy your beverage of choice.

True speciality cafe that serves a pretty good range of pour over coffee. Went there on a weekday afternoon, not too busy and had plently of seats available. Had an amazing pour over and a great coffee conversation with the owner. They no longer serve cakes and desserts but are definitely a hidden gem for coffee lovers.

Best place to chill at after enjoying the huge food choices around the area. Atmosphere is top notch for audiophiles, the hand drip coffee is amongst the top 3 I have tried in HK these 10 years. Whisky selection is vast and price is fair. Kind of surprised not many know of this, but no surprise since they never advertise anywhere. Only issue is its sort of far from MTR, but definitely worth it

Nice little cafe in the middle of the hustle and bustle city serving serious coffee. Small cafe, all high stools, quiet casual vibe, friendly and knowledgeable owner barista. Cakes are made in house. Italian coffee, hand drip coffee on menu. Food menu is limited but is delicately prepared with good quality ingredients. Not a cheap place but I see it reasonable. Saw a few pieces of calligraphy written by Japanese politician, didn't ask about that. The shop runs coffee tasting session, details can be found on notice inside shop. Cash only. Side street parking is not hard to come by on the back streets near the shop.

A rare fine in HK offering a tasteful blend of whiskey and coffee, with vintage JBL speakers tossed in as a nice bonus! The highball made from their own Macduff bottling was elegant and refreshing, setting a quality bar well above your average izakaya’s. The orange liqueur coffee was equally satisfying, made from vintage Grand Marnier which the master acquired in one of his trips to Japan. Will definitely be back soon!

It's a tiny hole in the wall but their coffee is excellent! There's so much passion poured into their drinks, they have a better selection of single origin coffee than other large cafes around HK, and the staff is incredibly friendly and nice. Worth the price and time to visit if you love coffee.

Coffee is nice and the barista (boss) is nice too. If you have time, you can have a small chat with him. He will share you everything he know about coffee haha. Every cup here is like a unique art. If you order filter coffee, you are going to make a difficult choice coz there are so many fresh roasted coffee beans from all over the world for you to choose. There are a few small dishes such as toasties, stuffed chicken wing and avocado bread. They are yummy.

Bookmarked for a long time, and finally we were here…(you all know..the list just never getting shorter…) Here is just like a coffee-version of Izakaya. Friends/Customers come here to have a great quiet time enjoying the good coffee. We picked the above 2 that day. Both of them were extremely tasty, the best hand-drip we had these days!! Running is more of a nutty favour with great body. Guatemala is more a fruity feeling like an apple with a smooth mouthfeel of its aftertaste~ Read more of our food reviews on IG at @hehefoodie

This place is very different, not only have good pour over coffee, but also have wide range of whiskies. There are some rare whisky. Had coffee first and had Laphroaig with 1 shot of 25 years and 2 shots of 30 years from OB and IB last week. Perfect for chilling out!
